We need your help! Our school year is off to a great start, but we have noticed that quite a number of students are late each day. We want to make sure everyone knows that our front doors open at 7:20 for breakfast and our early morning workout. School starts at 7:45 each morning. If students arrive at school during announcements, they are allowed to go to their classrooms – kind of a “grace” period. Tardy slips are being given to students who arrive at school after announcements. It is so very important that our students are at school on time and in their classrooms ready to learn. 

Did you know that LISD loses an average of about $40 a day for each student who is marked as absent? We appreciate your help with getting your students to school so that they can start their jobs as learners and not miss out on any valuable instructional time!

Voluntary student transfers will be permitted to other elementary campuses within the district on a space and staffing available basis. Children who currently attend the campus as a fourth grader, either as a zoned student or as a transfer student, will be permitted to attend the current campus as a transfer in the next school year, and siblings will be permitted to transfer in on a space and staff available basis.

Time change is fast approaching and it is still dark in the mornings. Please remember students may be dropped off any time AFTER 7:20 AM. There is no adult supervision prior to 7:20 AM.
• Please enter the building through the front doors at all times. If you pick up your child as a walker/parent walk-up, please do this at the front of the building.
• Remember to always stop in the front office to sign in and out when you visit. Make sure you obtain a visitor sticker.
• Please use turning signals so our crossing guards know which direction you plan to go. Also, do not stop your car in the crosswalk.
